Deputy Chief, Casa Grande Police Dept.
Deputy Chief Angel Leos began his career with the Arizona Department of Public Safety in September 1989. After completion of the police academy, Deputy Chief Leos was assigned to the Highway Patrol in the Casa Grande area as a State Trooper.
Deputy Chief Angel Leos was promoted to Sergeant in 2000 and assigned to the canine unit. In 2006, Deputy Chief Leos was promoted to Lieutenant and has held assignments as a Commander in the department’s Canine Unit and Operational Training Unit, and as the Highway Patrol District Commander in Pinal County and the Capitol Police District Commander.
In 2007, Deputy Chief Leos served as an Interim Chief of Police for the City of Douglas, and in 2010, Deputy Chief Leos was appointed by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer as the Chief of Police for the Arizona State Capitol Police.
During his career with the Department of Public Safety, Deputy Chief Leos served as a member of the Canine Unit, SWAT Team, Bomb Squad, and assignments assisting the Governor’s Detail.
In March 2015, after 25 years with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Deputy Chief Leos retired and began his career with the Casa Grande Police Department. Deputy Chief Leos currently oversees the General Operations Division.
